Rental and Training Packages for Fire Departments

Fire departments can schedule three-or-four-hour special training nights at the PSTC. Westmoreland County fire departments can rent the facility free of charge. Out-of-county fire departments may also rent the facility for trainings. Interested parties should contact the PSTC for pricing and requirements.

PSTCAcquired Structure Burns

The PSTC is willing to facilitate "Acquired Structure Burns." The burn must meet all DEP and PSFA requirements and will be the responsibility of the owner/hosting fire department. Please contact the facility for pricing and requirements.

Changes to Training Package Availability:

  • Effective January 31, 2025, training packages will no longer be available for purchase.
  • We want to reassure you that all current training packages, as well as those requested before this date, will continue to be honored. These packages will remain valid until they expire either through the use of associate hours or within the designated time frame, whichever occurs first.
  • Moving forward, Fire Department Requested Courses:
    • These courses will now be offered on a tuition-driven basis, with applicable material fees.
    • Courses will require minimum seating to proceed and will also mandate pre-registration to ensure the requested class meets the minimum registration requirements to run.
