Academics That Fit Your Needs
Whether you’re a graduating high school student, adult learner, career-focused or planning to transfer, Westmoreland has programs and resources to help you succeed on your ambitious journey.
The Westmoreland Advantage
Developmental courses to help you succeed
Westmoreland is dedicated to the success of students in higher education and in the workforce. Upon completing the Placement Assessment and Educational Planning Session, some students may be required to take one or more preparatory courses in mathematics and/or English. These courses do not count toward graduation but strengthen the academic skills students need for success in college.
Work with faculty on a research project
For the past several years, Westmoreland students have been selected by the National Council on Undergraduate Research to present their research projects at the national conference. Students collaborate with faculty sponsors on the projects, which are also presented to the college community at an academic achievement banquet each year.
Opportunities for CTC students
SOAR (Students Occupationally and Academically Ready) career and technical education programs of study include a statewide articulation agreement between secondary schools and postsecondary institutions. Benefits of SOAR include tuition savings and shortening college attendance time. Look for programs with the SOAR logo.
