Westmoreland County Community College to hold Health Professions Night November 7
October 30, 2018 Youngwood, Pa.Westmoreland County Community College will hold a Health Professions Night Wednesday, November 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at its Science Innovation Center at the Youngwood Campus.
Designed for prospective students interested in pursuing careers in the health professions, college faculty and staff will share information about programs in Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Expanded Functions Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, Medical/Healthcare Management, Nursing, Phlebotomy/Specimen Processing and Radiology Technology.
In the 10-county region surrounding Westmoreland County Community College, there were 52,293 jobs available in these fields in 2016. Regional trends project that healthcare opportunities in the region will continue to grow in the coming years.*
Those interested in pursuing a career in one of these occupations will receive firsthand information on program requirements and can have questions answered by college faculty, staff and students. In addition, information will be available about the admissions and financial aid process and tours of the college’s new Science Innovation Center will be offered.
