Faculty and staff worked together to assemble exam-week care kits for students. Each care kit has a special note of encouragement to help them make it through the challenges of finals week.
Latrobe Chamber Breakfast
We were pleased to host the Greater Latrobe-Laurel Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce for breakfast at the Latrobe Education Center. It was a great chance to connect with community partners and highlight the programs and resources available right here in our region.
Spring Open House
We welcomed more than 100 prospective students and their guests to Spring Open House 2026! Attendees had the opportunity to connect with faculty and staff, speak with representatives from financial aid, registration, and athletics, and explore campus through guided tours. The event provided a great chance for future students to learn about academic programs, discover support services, and get a firsthand look at what it means to be part of the Westmoreland community.
Connecting Employers: A Tour of the Advanced Technology Center
Local employers joined faculty and staff for a luncheon and discussion at the Advanced Technology Center. The conversation centered on the success of Westmoreland students and opportunities to connect with future graduates. Dr. Kristin Mallory, president, shared updates on what’s ahead at the ATC and highlighted how we partner with industry to align programs with workforce needs.
Fill the Field
Dr. Mallory threw out the first pitch at the Wolfpack's doubleheader baseball game against the Owls of Prince George's Community College.
Pastries with the President
Staff and faculty had the opportunity to chat with Dr. Mallory over pastries, tea and coffee.
Student Leadership Luncheon
Student leaders representing the 19 student organizations and honor societies shared lunch with Dr. Mallory and got better acquainted with her.
Unity Day
Unity Day events and activities were organized by Alpha Delta Nu, Alpha Sigma Lambda, Black Student Union, Christian Fellowship, Compassion Coalition, and PRISM Alliance.
Night at the Races
We proudly partnered with the Murrysville-Export Rotary Club for its annual Night at the Races fundraiser. This impactful event helps make 50 College in High School scholarships possible, and we’re incredibly grateful for the Rotary's continued support.
Quiz Bowl
Faculty, staff and students had a chance to show off their academic knowledge during a fun and lively Quiz Bowl. Questions covered a variety of subjects across divisions, along with general knowledge about the institution itself. Dr. Mallory served as a judge alongside Vice-Presidents, Dr. Anthony Underwood and Dr. Matthew Reed.

Indiana Chamber After Hours Social & Open House
We proudly hosted the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce's After Hours Social at our Indiana Education Center. Guests had the opportunity to meet Dr. Mallory, while also exploring all that our center has to offer during an Open House. The evening's festivities included a meaningful tree dedication in honor of Dr. Mallory by Center Director Jennifer Eckels and her team - a lasting tribute to new beginnings and continued growth.
Fun with Fionna Fayette™
Dr. Mallory hosted a story reading of Fionna's Patriotic Adventure at the Uniontown Public Library. The event also included crafts, activities, snacks and a special appearance by MADE @ Westmoreland's robotic dog, Rufus.
