New Student Orientation
Welcome to Westmoreland County Community College! To get you started on your ambitious journey, we invite you to participate in New Student Orientation.
What is New student Orientation?
New Student Orientation is a mandatory three-hour experience designed to equip you with what you need to know about academic requirements, campus programs and services and strategies for success. It is our way of helping you get acclimated to college before your first day of class.
All first-year students are required to participate in New Student Orientation. For your convenience, we are offering three sessions for the spring semester. You may choose the session that best fits your schedule.
How do I know what session to choose?
If you are taking any of the School of Technology majors, these are mainly offered at the Advanced Technology Center (ATC), so one of the orientation sessions are held at ATC. The other two will be at the Youngwood Campus and are for students taking any other major. The goal is to equip you to make the best decision about your career path, and find out about all the services available to you from day one, such as Career Connections, Student Life, Student Support and much more.
When will the sessions be?
