Spring Classes begin January 10 & February 14 at 7 Locations & Online
January 7, 2019 Youngwood, Pa.Westmoreland County Community College is conducting registration for spring credit classes which are scheduled to begin January 10, along with a 12-week session beginning February 14.
New to the spring schedule is a Business Management Certificate that can be completed in just seven months. Starting January 14, this certificate program offers busy working students the flexibility of taking classes online two evenings per week.
By using a computer with a camera and microphone, students can receive the benefits of face-to-face interaction with the instructor and classmates without having to travel to a Westmoreland location. During the rest of the week, students will participate in online activities and assignments that fit their schedules.
Enrollment is open to new and returning students as well as high school juniors and seniors who meet eligibility requirements. Juniors and seniors will earn college credit upon completing course requirements.
The spring schedule also includes courses for career preparation and liberal arts and sciences classes that will transfer to bachelor’s degree programs at many four-year colleges and universities.
Traditional classroom-based courses are conducted at the Youngwood campus and the Westmoreland-Advanced Technology Center, RIDC-Westmoreland, and the following centers: Westmoreland-Fayette County, Uniontown; Westmoreland-Indiana County, Indiana; Westmoreland-Latrobe, Latrobe; Westmoreland-Murrysville, Export; and Westmoreland-New Kensington, New Kensington.
Services available to students include academic advising, career counseling and financial aid assistance with scholarships, grants and loans.
New students must complete an application for admission prior to registering for classes.
