Westmoreland-Advanced Technology Center to Host 3D Printer Road Show

Westmoreland County Community College will host the PCS Additive Manufacturing, Inc. Road Show Thursday, September 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Advanced Technology Center located at 1001 Technology Drive, Suite 1009, in Mt. Pleasant.

The 3D Road Show offers participants a hands-on and up-close educational experience with large-format 3D printing. The event will showcase the 3DP Workbench 3D Printer and includes demonstrations of the printer which can print an object of approximately 3’ x 3’ in size.

3D printing or additive manufacturing is any of various processes of making three-dimensional solid object from a digital file. The object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the entire object is created. PCS Additive Manufacturing provides 3D printing services and 3D printers for a wide range of industries including educational institutions.

The event is free and open to manufacturing students and faculty, and local manufacturers.
