Phi Theta Kappa
Westmoreland County Community College hosts the Alpha Upsilon Upsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. PTK is the only nationally acclaimed honor society serving America’s two-year colleges and associate degree-granting institutions. Election to the honor society is open to any student who has completed at least 12 credit hours (either full- or part-time) at Westmoreland. Candidates must possess a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better in order to be considered for selection. Phi Theta Kappa also offers scholarship opportunities, student directed honors projects and the chance to attend regional and national meetings of the society.
