  5. The additional amount of Pell Grant received as part of the year-round Pell payments (i.e., amount paid in excess of the annual Scheduled Award) is counted in determining the student’s Lifetime Eligibility Used (LEU).  The Department of Education keeps track of your LEU by adding together the percentages of your Pell Grant scheduled awards that you received for each academic year.
