Anyone may establish a scholarship through a contribution to the WCCC Education Foundation. Three types of scholarship opportunities are available: one-time, annual and endowed.
- A one-time scholarship is awarded one time to a recipient for the dollar amount donated. There is no set dollar amount required.
- An annual scholarship is established when a donor agrees to make available a set amount of funds on an annual basis. The scholarship is then awarded to a student each year for the established amount for as many years as the funding is available. There is no set dollar amount required.
- An endowed scholarship requires a minimum donation of $10,000 to be established. The interest generated on the original investment is awarded to a WCCC student each year. The scholarship exists in perpetuity.
Scholarships may be named for the donor or as a tribute to a loved one. All contributions are placed into restricted accounts and are used exclusively for the scholarship or award created by the donor. Scholarships are credited to the recipients’ accounts for tuition or books.
A scholarship can be established by completing the Scholarship Endowment Form and returning it along with a check made payable to the WCCC Education Foundation, 145 Pavilion Lane, Youngwood, PA 15697, or by contacting Foundation Executive Director Debra Woods at 724.925.4083 or emailing email@example.com.
