5 steps to becoming a student

Becoming a student at Westmoreland is easier than ever! Follow these FIVE STEPS to begin your ambitious journey!





Apply to Westmoreland

  1. Complete the FREE online application for admission. Note that many Allied Health programs require an additional application.





Apply for Financial Aid

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at FAFSA.ED.GOV by May 1.
  2. Our School Code is 010176.



Transfer credits from other colleges (if applicable)

  1. Obtain official, sealed transcripts from your previous college(s).
  2. Complete a Transfer of Credit Form and return it to your nearest center.




Take the Placement Assessment (if applicable)

  1. Schedule to take the assessment at the Youngwood Campus or any one of our centers.
  2. Visit the Placement Assessment page to prepare prior to taking the assessement.



Schedule Classes

  1. You'll meet with a member of Student Services who will help you to select and register for classes based on your Placement Assessment results and help you to develop a course plan for your degree, diploma or certificate.
