This program reflects the standards established by the National Association of Education for Young Children for students in the field of early childhood education. The program provides a solid foundation in the who, what, and why of effective early childhood education (infancy through nine years). Supervised observational field experience is required. This experience may occur in the Westmoreland Campus Children’s Center, students’ work-site classrooms, or approved off-campus locations including Head Start, public schools and IU classrooms.
Fourteen of the required 62 credits must be completed in person (MTH 180, MTH 185, BIO 155, ECE 284) and the rest may be completed online. Click the link below for information from the course catalog.
