Westmoreland County Community College values the experience that our online students have. Please refer to the following resources to help with your ambitious online journey.

D2L Support

All students enrolling in online courses at Westmoreland County Community College are enrolled in an online orientation course to learn how to use Desire2Learn. D2L is a learning management system that serves as your online classroom. Additionally, the following resources are available for support:

Student Success Support

Students are encouraged to take advantage of services that are designed for online learners. Westmoreland County Community College provides the following tools to assist with your success as an online student:

Brainfuse online tutoring: Brainfuse provides one-on-one online tutoring and supplemental resources to all students at the college. Online students can access this service by logging on to D2L and clicking on College Resources at the top of the page.

Online student orientation: Students have the opportunity to self-register into the Learning D2L for Students Orientation to become familiar with D2L.

  1. Go to https://d2l.westmoreland.edu
  2. Type your MyWestmoreland username and password
  3. Click Log in
  4. Click Self Registration in the Navbar menu at the top of the page
  5. Select Learning D2L for Students

Online academic advisingStudents who are taking online courses may communicate with their assigned advisor via Student Planning to discuss their courses, create a schedule or develop an academic plan. To access Student Planning, log into the My.Westmoreland portal and go to Self-Service Menu/ WebAdvisor for Students/Registration Credit Classes/Student Planning.  If you do not have an assigned advisor, please contact the Information Center at 724-925-4000 or infocenterFREEWESTMORELAND.
